This Saturday's coffee meetup will be quite interesting. Our guest speaker,
Ian Neville, Senior Sustainability Specialist at City of Vancouver, is seeking input from VEVA members on curbside charging. Ian will talk to us about the City of Vancouver's proposed strategy. You will definitely want to get time in the break out session with Ian to express your views and better understand the City of Vancouver's proposal. Ian can then use the ideas generated to help refine the city's strategy. I can't emphasize enough how important this is and how important your participation is.
Of course, non VEVA members who are curious about EVs are always welcome to attend. Feel free to invite anyone who wants to learn more about EVs.
Last week we tried a slightly different format for the online meetups and spent most of the time chatting in smaller groups in breakout rooms. While this approach was successful it did offer some challenges. People who wanted to change breakout rooms had to go through the administrator, in this case me, which created a bit of a backlog. This Saturday we will try enabling everyone so that they can choose themselves what breakout room they go to and for how long. I think this is going to be a very close simulation of a real life coffee meetup.
